If you are looking for a wedding venue in Wales, then look no further. All steps first dance have researched some of the most amazing local wedding venues, hopefully to suit all kinds of different weddings, be it a traditional one or something a little more boho and vintage.

Booking your wedding venue is one of the toughest choices and one of the most important to get right. You may have a budget in mind and a theme you would like to implement but struggling to research the perfect venue to fit in with this. So sit down, grab a coffee and relax, let us do some of that leg work.  All you need to think about is the style and theme you would like to have.

1. Rowton Castle

Quintessential English, this venue is absolutely stunning in its entirety. From the high walled gardens covered in the most beautifully fragrant roses and secretly hidden pools. There are plenty of rustic woodland walks with this venue, the perfect backdrop to some extraordinary photos. The Castle and all of the grounds are exclusively yours throughout the day and the possibilities for the evening reception are quite possibly amazing. There is the perfect dance area for those newly learnt first dance moves and bags of space for all to join in.

2. Pencoed House Estate

I love this venue simply because it is beautiful. It is absolutely idyllic and encourages you to think about fairytales and hidden secret, special, intimate moments. It is set in 6 acres of lush land with hidden hide-aways and stunning water back drops. It has also won wedding venue of the year for 2019, so not much can be wrong with this stunning gem of a venue. Your evening reception will certainly be as magical as the ceremony with its breathtaking halls and space for dancing and enjoying yourselves. I love everything about this venue but the best feature for me? The history behind the building, and the fact you are adding to that history by sharing your most special moments with it.

3. Bodnant Garden

If you are looking for something a little less traditional and with a hint of flare then this venue could be for you. As the name says it is set in the most breathtaking gardens. If you are looking for a little touch of the outdoors and to take you back to nature then this venue certainly doesn’t disappoint. There are ornate ponds, beautiful flowered gardens and to add to the luxury and flare, total views of the mountains. Inside there is plenty of space to have all your family and friends gather together to witness those magical moments in the most special day of your lives.

4. Peterstone Court

This venue can literally be anything you want it to be, from traditional to the more unconventional Tipi wedding. It has an array of packages and different views. From the perfectly white snowy winter wedding, to a luxury manor house to its less traditional and perfectly fun tipi wedding. If you are into festivals and want to add a certain level of fun to your evening then this venue is for you. Traditional by day and festival by night! Complete balance of the both if you are trying to involve more than one theme. A stage in a tipi you say? Well yes actually there is a stage! And a bar, perfect for dancing the night away with a glass of bubbly to send of a truly epic amazing day.

5. Treadam Barn

The ever increasingly popular barn wedding in the most stunning setting. Vintage themes, wild flowers, lace and naked cakes are all things that this venue will accommodate with absolutely no issue. 15th century oak lined barn! yes please. It is stunning and the perfect location for that more relaxed and free style of wedding. The acoustics in this barn are second to none, so your band should have no problems playing late into the night so you can dance on the dance floor bare foot for hours into the early hours of the morning. This barn is really special and leaves room for you to add so many of your own home-made accessories or decorations. It leaves you plenty of room to do exactly as you would like with it.

Wales really has the most idyllic backdrop to every wedding. Its rolling hills, mountain, hidden water ways and lush green fields. There truly is something for everyone here.

Whichever themed wedding you decide on there are at least 2-3 venues that suit each theme. Go have a look around, check out some of those fun wedding fayres and enjoy looking. There really is so much to see. The only problem you will have then is choosing just one of these stunning venues. Grab your fiancé and head down to each of them for a glass of bubbles and a nosy around, that’s the best way to decide which venue is for you and to really truly gauge the vibe of the venue. Finding the vibe and energy from a venue is just as important as choosing the venue to match your theme, you need the same vibe and atmosphere to match both your personalities to completely set your wedding worlds away from the norm and push is straight into one of the most spectacular and memorable days.
