French wedding inspiration has been giving us a lot to smile about recently and it is a trend that shows no sign of slowing down, From beautiful pastel hues to the picturesque settings of chateaus and stately homes, we can’t help but scream “Mais oui, Mais oui” at every last detail of a French inspired wedding.
France is renowned for its romantic cities, picturesque scenery and historical landmarks, not to mention their chic fashion and elegance, which is everything your French wedding can be. Think about adding in those delicate lace sleeves onto your bridal gown, create that special piece that is simply dreamy! And who doesn’t want to dine al fresco with a table full of pastel prettiness? I know I do. There are numerous ways to create the perfect French inspired wedding, take your table for instance, chose to mix together gold, silver and copper tones, deep blue and soft teal in order to create a more non-traditional look.
Imagine your guests being first greeted when they arrive to a vintage inspired seating chart and guestbook area. You could use vintage furniture pieces that I absolutely love, including a vintage buffet placed at the entrance, along with various vintage decor pieces like blue glassware, fresh greenery, and lace. Some beautifully hand-lettered chalkboard signs will fit in perfectly with your French themed wedding. Add some foliage and some soft colour palettes of flowers to really maximise the theme.
Decor, colour palette, lace and a real vintage feel are key for this wonderful wedding theme, with lots of girly, delicate touches making it one of my favourite themes. Think getting married in the lush wonderous gardens of a chateau or a stately home under an arch of coral, soft pink peonies and eucalyptus stems. Or add in that traditional touch of blue to your soft decor. Small mason jars to line the isle filled with tiny sweet blue flowers. Lace backless dresses are a key feature for a French inspired wedding and there really are some beautiful ones out there to choose from.
